The Best Ways to Study
With the beginning of a new semester, everyone wants to make any and all improvements possible to help their class grades improve. To help make that possible, here are a few of the best ways to study so you can receive the test grades you want. The first, most important thing, is your time management. Cramming the night before the test won't give you the results you desire, which is why studying a few days in advanced is the best way to go. When it's time to study, instead of studying for hours on end, take 25-40 minutes and review your notes, then take a 5 minute break and do some sort of physical activity. This always your blood to flow and make you more alert, which will also help you to remember the information you're studying. The location of where you chose to study also plays a role in how well you'll do on your test. You also want to study in a quiet room with no distractions so you can devote 100% of your attention to your studies. If you're the type of person who enjoys listening to music while you study, the best genre of music would be classical music or something without lyrics. Many people have a hard time focusing when they're studying by themselves. If that's the case, you can try getting a group of classmates together and review for your upcoming test together. With all these helpful tips to help study for your tests, you will be guaranteed to receive the test scores you worked hard on.

Fall Workouts
With the fall season here, it’s the perfect opportunity to take advantage of the cold weather when you do your work outs. You can use your time to climb mountains, go hiking, or cycling during this beautiful weather! If you live near a beach, you could also take a yoga mat and do some yoga on the beach since no one will be around. If you’re the type of person who doesn’t like to take on the cold weather, maybe an inside sport would be best for you. Swimming would be one example of an inside sport, or maybe even basketball. Whether it’s inside or outside, you shouldn’t let something as simple as cold weather stop you from reaching your fitness goals. When you go outside to do your physical activities put on multiple layers of clothes to insure that you don’t get cold while you work out. With these helpful tips, you can easily work past the cold and enjoy your fall workouts. Fair Entertainment
Although many of you already know, the Cumming Fair is in town! There are many new attractions as well as ones we all know and love. The most popular attractions are the tiger show, the marvel super heroes team, and galaxy girl. Come down to the fair grounds and check out all the fun and exciting rides and games and walk throughs. The Indian village is a fun time for the family. They have a bunch of replicated items that the native Americans used back in their time. And if you're lucky you might catch them doing some traditional dances, but be careful you might get pulled in to dance with them! Also be sure to stop by the pavilion to enjoy some live music. This year they're featuring The Charlie Daniels Band and Colt Ford. On Wednesday October 8, the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Parade will start at 6pm. The Flash of Crimson marching band will be there so come and support us! The fair is a great place to spend some time with your family or with a significant other. I highly recommend going this year, you'll have a lot of fun. By: Mekayla Bates |
What You Need to Know about Fall Dates
A step between winter and summer, fall can be a mixed season with warm days along with cold days. The weather is unpredictable but what never changes is the beauty of the leaves changing colors. Fall is a good opportunity to hangout with your friends and throw a party! A cool thing you can do this fall is plan a harvest party where you can play Stuff the Scarecrow or tell ghost stories!
Giving our fall date perspective from a woman is Mikala Bates. What do you think a good fall date is? "the fair obviously that’s a given”. What do you like most about it? ”the sky buckets and the Ferris wheel because they're longer rides and slow." Would you recommend it for a date? ”Yes, it’s a good opportunity to double date and get to know the person because most of the time you’re walking around. The Himalayas is the best ride to me because it’s close contact to another person and you can be flirty without being forward". What's the best thing for a boy to wear for a date? "I like the laid-back style of a t-shirt, jeans, and jacket; something simple".
Jared Bandy gives us a boys perspective on fall dates. What is your dream fall date? "Personally I'm a fan of the corn maze because it offers good alone time and when you go at night the girls get scared and hold onto you". How do you feel about Homecoming? Would you go personally? "Absolutely, girls love that stuff". What would you recommend a girl to wear for homecoming? "A dress that complements the boys tuxedo".

The Fairs Back In Town
The fair is back in town! From now until October 12th you can experience a fair like never before! Everything from the rides to the the food is just amazing. The Drew Exposition crew puts on a great fair every year.
The best thing at the fair is the rides! The rides range from rides for toddlers all the way up to elderly peopl. The first ride I would like to talk about is the cyclops. The cyclops is one of the big thrill rides at the fair. On the cyclops you get into a seat and your feet hang freely. After getting strapped in you start to spin and move back and forth. Even though the cyclops does not go all the way around, it does get very close. The cyclops is definitely a ride made for teens.
The next ride is the pirate ship. This is a ride for all ages. On the pirate ship you sit on a bench seat with a few other people and a bar comes down in your lap. The pirate ship moves back and forth and will make your stomach churn. This ride is definitely one of the best at the fair.
The last ride I would like to talk about is the sky buckets. Everybody who goes to the fair needs to ride the sky buckets. You start over on the east side of the fairgrounds and get into a bucket with one other person and get lifted to the other side. At the other side you get off at the Indian village and cotton gin. Here you can find all kinds of things to do and you will definitely learn a lot!
I wish I could talk about all of the rides at the fair. I would like to mention some of the other ones. One of the rides is X-FACTORY. This is a very fun ride. There are a bunch of kids rides for the little ones. Don't be afraid to join in on the fun and go to the Cumming Fair and Festival!
